The Rugged Yet Beautiful West Coast, NZ
The simple life that is the rugged and beautiful West Coast! This really is a special place to visit!
Only a couple of hour’s drive from Christchurch is one of New Zealand’s most rugged and raw coastline – the West Coast of the South Island! A scenery and landscape straight from a movie. On one side you have the powerful Tasman Sea and on the other, you have prehistoric mountain ranges that rise straight up from the ocean and create a natural barrier that guards the Canterbury Plains against the ferocious weather from the West.
What makes a trip to the West Coast truly unique is the ability to take a step back from our usual hustle and bustle of the city life and slip into a slower and more intimate pace that is closely aligned to nature and the surroundings.
On this short trip away for the weekend, we enjoyed the relaxation, and warmth of the homely accommodation that is Fox Hut by Canopy Camping Escapes, only a short drive from Punakaiki Pancake Rocks & Blowholes which is featured in the photos.
We won’t give too much away except for we highly recommend this wonderful spot for the perfect getaway to enjoy some relaxation and rest.
